The Problem
Despite the commendable growth of venture capital in Africa from 250M in 2015 to $5.4B in 2022, it still doesn't adequately reach founders on the frontlines. African and female founders, with their immense potential for climate ventures, only receive 30% and 4% of VC funds in Africa. This disparity perpetuates a cycle of reduced post-investment support and critical barriers on exit strategy. Delta40 aims to reimagine the traditional VC model by providing strategic support for scale and navigating exits, coupled with venture-building assistance from experienced leaders and operators in Africa.
