Revolutionizing the market for second life solar and electric appliances in Africa
GreenBay will serve as a dedicated marketplace, connecting buyers and sellers of second-life and certified pre-owned solar home systems, and electric appliances.
Founder: Amit Dodhia
Problem
Despite the growth in the clean energy and home appliance market in Africa, a significant gap remains in the formal second-life or end-of-life management of these products. This gap not only inflates prices and restricts access to debt financing, but also exacerbates environmental harm. Lack of ownership of appliances and equipment stifles productivity and livelihoods.
Solution
GreenBay is an innovative digital platform designed to revolutionize the solar and electric appliance market across Africa. GreenBay will serve as a dedicated marketplace, connecting buyers and sellers of second-life and certified pre-owned solar home systems, and electric appliances. By focusing on transparent, cost-effective transactions backed by independent certification and innovative financing solutions, GreenBay aims to accelerate the market's growth, making clean energy products more accessible, affordable, and environmentally sustainable.
